DEFINITION - The Defense Acquisition Regulatory Council (DARC) is a group overseen by the United States Department of Defense (DoD). DARC is in charge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) on a joint basis with the Civilian Agency Acquisition Council (CAAC). The group is composed of representatives from each U.S. military department, the Defense Logistics Agency, and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration.
