Last week at its analyst day, Juniper Networks unveiled a host of J-partner channel partner program enhancements and a new data center strategy. In this week's edition of Channel Chat, Juniper worldwide channel chief Frank Vitagliano discusses these enhancements, which include three new product specializations and reward programs for services-oriented partners.
What he won't address is the company's scarcely detailed data center strategy, dubbed Stratus Project, which will eventually produce a unified fabric to address performance and management in the data center. While Juniper stirred up excitement around its data center push last week, the company also received slack for not producing specifics. After all, competitors like Cisco Systems and HP ProCurve have solid plans. Vitagliano said Juniper's data center details and how they relate to the channel will emerge in coming months.
