Net management VAR builds out Canadian disaster recovery facilities |

Montreal-based HyperTec Group is building a business-continuity/disaster-recovery (BCDR) facility designed to provide office space for 3,500 displaced workers and 40,000 square-feet of high-availability data center.
The facility, which is 75% to 85% online and is one of several the company plans to build in Quebec and elsewhere in Canada, is designed to meet what HyperTec executives said is a crying need for disaster recovery in the country.
HyperTec offers the BCDR service in addition to its round-the-clock network service, which provides not only monitoring but also a fully redundant network covering the U.S., Canada and Europe as well as high-capacity storage, power backup and other necessary services.
